Book Prep
Basic copyedit
Good content is your book’s most important element. If you want optimal success for your message though, a ”clean” book is vital to influence potential readers and reviewers. In a basic copyedit, I work with your manuscript, ensuring accuracy in spelling, punctuation, capitalization, grammar, and syntax. Terms: 1.5c per word.
Content Editing
A content edit includes the basic copyedit plus an additional emphasis on enhancing organization, clarity, and flow. I look to strengthen the beginning of the manuscript as well as the beginning of chapters to draw and sustain the reader’s attention. I specialize in book shaping and development. My objective is to refine and polish the manuscript in a timely manner, ready for publication. Of course the author has the final say in their manuscript. Terms: 2.5c per word.
Interior Design
We now utilize the premier, industry-standard Adobe InDesign CS5.5 for interior design and layout of print books. Discover how typography and design can enhance your message and story.
eBook Design
Digital books are styled and formatted to read on multiple eReaders and devices. Your eBook is formatted by hand, resulting in a professional, clean appearance across eReaders and mobile devices. Includes a MOBI file used on the Amazon Kindle. Also includes an EPUB file used on the Barnes & Noble Nook, the Apple iPad – iPod Touch – iPhone, and the Sony Reader. Quality assurance is a priority with your eBook. Once your eBook is ready, it can be available with eRetailers like Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and others. Terms: currently $180. Your quality website can be developed and launched for a fraction of the cost you may think. You can go the route of using a website developer, but you will pay thousands more than using WordPress.
