The Power of Writing … Put It to Words!

power of writing

Writing is too powerful to neglect. Pencil, pen, or keyboard, writing is a strategic resource for us. It helps us with our thinking. It is clarifying, sharpening our focus. It communicates who we are and what we do.

I love what Covey says:

Stephen Covey states that writing is more powerful than visualization (The 8th Habit) – it actually enhances the function and capacity of our thought process. “Writing bridges the conscious and the subconscious mind. Writing is a psycho-neuromuscular activity and literally imprints the brain.”

Here’s a little experiment. Before you go to bed, write 2 or 3 things you want to think about or do when you awake.

Research has proven that simply writing goals releases an empowerment and authority to achieve those goals. Writing enables us to become more self-aware. It can help us to locate where we are and where we need to go.

An author is an originator, a creator. An author moves in authority. When you get in touch with your desires, dreams, and vision, and then harmonize them with written goals, you increase in authority. You are an author.

Whether we’re consciously in touch with it or not, something is always radiating from us. We are always publishing.

Bringing forth … expressing … throwing light upon … accentuating … revealing … manifesting … spreading the word … communicating … circulating … announcing … pronouncing … declaring … proclaiming … disseminating … broadcasting … publicizing … going viral … heralding …

The message of your life and work wants to be heard. And others are waiting to hear it. You have a message – put it to words and write it!
